CUPERTINO, Calif. -- Oblix, a leading developer of identity-based security solutions, announced that Ingersoll-Rand (IR), a leading diversified industrial firm, has deployed Oblix COREid to secure its dealer portal that enables thousands of its dealers to access hundreds of IR products across multiple product lines from a central location, giving them a single sign-on across their applications leveraging different technologies.

The continued growth in IR's infrastructure sector businesses, along with the need to leverage dealer relationships across brands created the impetus for IR to secure and simplify the ordering experience for its dealers. Users now need just a single user name and password to access a personalized portal that provides all necessary functionality, whether they're ordering Bobcat, IR, or ClubCar equipment. The portal simplifies the ordering process by putting all of the needed functionality in one place with one sign-on.

Using Oblix COREid to manage a centralized directory of user privileges, IR now has a single point of user administration and a single view of its dealerships.
