Encapsulon Unveils New Loss Prevention Channel Advantage Program

July 19, 2005
Program enables POS providers, DVR companies and resellers to leverage LP technology to round out their offerings

ATLANTA, Ga. – Encapsulon, a leading provider of loss prevention technology for retailers, announced its new Channel Advantage Program today that will enable point of sale (POS) providers, digital video solution companies and resellers to complement their technology solutions and services with Encapsulon's Retail Software Suite and StoreSight™, solutions that give retailers turnkey access to the events most often associated with loss.

"The Channel Advantage program gives partners increased profit opportunities through the delivery of an all-inclusive retail solution that bolsters loss prevention effectiveness, conveniently and cost-effectively," said Encapsulon President Andrew Wren. "Our solutions are highly complementary to those of our partners, whether they are selling POS or DVR technology. It's the logical next step in offering retailers a total solution."

Encapsulon's LP solutions collect and consolidate information from POS software, digital video systems, electronic article surveillance (EAS) systems, and other operational and security systems. The Channel Advantage program will also give partners the convenience of having the only LP solution that allows retailers to manage exceptions by seeing actual events, rather than reviewing reams of complicated, convoluted data. With this, retailers can be confident they have a valuable software solution when selecting other critical technologies such as POS software or DVRs.

Channel Advantage Program partners can integrate and co-brand Encapsulon's loss prevention and operations solutions with their current offerings or offer them as stand alone solutions. When offered separately, Encapsulon's solutions offer partners a unique opportunity between traditional sales cycles to offer their retail customers extra value. Additionally Encapsulon's LP solutions may be presented as part of a larger technology upgrade, which might include new POS systems, security hardware, or other technologies.

Beils, a technology and solution provider to the retail industry for more than 8 years, signed up for the Channel Advantage Program in May 2005. "Our customers need an all-in-one LP solution that is also cost-effective," said Andres Klein, vice president of marketing at Beils (www.myremotecam.com)."The Channel Advantage partnership program helps us meet that need by complementing our solutions with the Encapsulon products and tools. In less than a month from signing up, Beils had started an implementation for a customer. This program is a natural fit to increase both companies' profits and revenues."
