Company provides scalable online access control for Schlage AD locksets

Santa Maria, CA (March 1, 2012) - Quintron Systems, the recognized leader in interoperable Enterprise C3 Systems for Security Command Control & Communications, is pleased to announce that the Schlage AD Series locks now seamlessly integrate with Quintron's innovative security platforms to provide flexible, cost effective access control solutions unlike any others. "Quintron has developed and deployed the industry's only mission critical security management software that integrates access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, plus first responder communications," said Rick Foster, Director, Marketing & Sales, Security Systems Division. "These systems scale from small to medium sized facilities, to campuses and multi-site, global Enterprise-class organizations."

Quintron's client-server PACS solution is host and client OS independent, supporting operating systems including Windows, Linux, and OSX servers, and any combination of rich and browser-based thin clients. Database flexibility includes options such as Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle on the application server or separate database server. The system also supports VM, fault tolerant, and cluster server configurations to meet business continuity, disaster recovery, and high availability requirements.

Whether hosting on-premise, in the Cloud, or in an authorized 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC), the Quintron solution offers unlimited system flexibility and reliability. By adding comprehensive Schlage AD Series support, the on-the-door locking device challenge that is often a common failure point in system design, compliance, security and reliable operation can now be simplified with the added benefit of a rapid, low cost installation process per door.

"Installing a traditional access controlled door is a time consuming and complex effort when using separate components such as the card reader on the wall, the door position switch, the request to exit sensor, the electric strike, lockset or mag lock, plus the power supply and the system-to-door interface board," added Foster. "In addition, with all the associated conduit and cable it takes two installers to complete an average of two doors per 8 hour day. The same installation task when installing a wireless Schlage AD series cylindrical or mortise lockset, with all of the same features as the traditional configuration, cuts installation time down to two doors per hour versus the two doors per day." Not only does the efficiency of the work crew improve, so does the profit per project, and the number of projects per week rises to a new level bringing with it more sales opportunities. A very important side benefit is the ability to lock up a customer's site and improve personnel safety and security in a fraction of the time required in traditional system designs.

As a leader in HSPD-12 solutions, Quintron can combine the GSA APL listed AD Series devices with advanced 1/2/3 Factor Crypto Challenge-Response readers from other partners, plus credential enrollment, authentication, and validation features, to supply a complete Low to High Assurance solution under one, easy to use software program. For any Agency site, whether a small remote office with one or two doors or the main HQ, to be HSPD-12 compliant, the task has been complex and complicated until now. Quintron can make compliance easily reached by utilizing the simplicity of a system combining Schlage locksets for low compliance doors and BridgePoint Crypto readers on any door that requires a high assurance level of security. The AccessNsite server application and cardholder database can even be hosted in the cloud or on an on-premise server.

"Our 'Best of Breed' philosophy simultaneously supports hardware platforms such as Mercury, HID, Bridgepoint, DMP, and now IR-Schlage, plus the most commonly specified readers, cards, and smart credentials," added Foster. "There is no other system that provides so much."
