Las Vegas, NV (March 28, 2012) – OnSSI is celebrating 10 years of technology innovation at ISC West. The market leader in open-architecture, intelligent IP video surveillance software is also highlighting new technology to set the stage for the next 10 years, including a breakthrough in high-definition (HD) video content delivery that provides access to smooth, full-frame-rate video from multiple HD or megapixel cameras over limited-bandwidth networks. The latest version of OnSSI's flagship Ocularis IP video and security platform will also be featured, and several third-party technology partners in OnSSI's booth (#21049) will demonstrate add-on capabilities to further enhance the functionality of the open-architecture Ocularis platform.
"We are proud to commemorate our 10th anniversary with all our industry peers at ISC West," said Gadi Piran, President and Chief Technology Officer, OnSSI. "The overwhelming acceptance of our product line has been the basis of our first decade of success, and our message at ISC West is that we are working hard to continue to earn that acceptance with new innovations that reflect the changing needs of the market. We appreciate the support of our channel partners, technology partners, employees and, most importantly, our customers during our first 10 successful years."
The newest innovation at the OnSSI booth is Ocularis-X, a high-definition (HD) video content delivery technology that provides access to full-frame-rate video from multiple HD or megapixel cameras via the Internet. Ocularis-X extends the full functionality of the Ocularis Client desktop interface to Web clients and even mobile devices, and each video stream can be manipulated individually, for digital and optical pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) as well as forensic investigation. Incorporating Ocularis-X technology, the new Ocularis Web Client maintains the look and feel of OnSSI's Ocularis Client and is compatible with all the latest versions of Ocularis.
Technology partners displaying Ocularis-compatible innovations in the OnSSI booth are NetApp, Spectra Logic, Soleratec, ConvergenceTP and Razberi. NetApp offers a High Performance Video Storage System that meets demanding performance and capacity requirements without sacrificing simplicity and efficiency. Spectra Logic and Soleratec offer technologies to optimize video lifecycle management by combining primary hard-disk-based storage and secondary data tape library storage. ConvergenceTP unifies video surveillance with point-of-sale (POS) transactions such as cash registers and automated teller machines (ATMs). Razberi combines the functions of a network video recorder, high-powered Ethernet switch and powerful OnSSI Ocularis video management software into a single compact device.
Ocularis solutions by OnSSI include video management software and physical security information management (VMS/PSIM) systems for server-based and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications to increase security and lower operational costs. During its 10 years in business, OnSSI has been a technology leader with innovations such as fusion, push video, client/video wall, event monitoring and video delivery.
