Company delivers technologies focused on streamlining the installation, management of IP surveillance solutions

Irvine, Calif. – Ian Johnston, a security industry veteran and innovator, has launched Innovative Security Designs (ISD), a company focused on the delivery of IP surveillance devices that enable ease of deployment and effortless system configuration.

Johnston, along with an experienced technical team, comes to ISD with the vision that IP-based surveillance solutions should besimple to configure and easy to install without sacrificing functionality. The company has transformed how network surveillance cameras are managed and deployed, combining high-resolution, IP video with the ease normally experienced with traditional analog devices.

"IP surveillance provides a host of benefits to the security industry but there have been roadblocks to the widespread adoption of IP systems. Most notably, systems have been overly complicated to operate and install, providing frustration for installers and end users alike" Johnston, CEO, ISD said. "At ISD, we have re-imagined how IP cameras are configured and deployed to enable users to experience the true benefits and value that IP technologies have to offer. ISD truly delivers on the promises that IP surveillance has sold but hasn't been able to realize."

The megapixel surveillance technologies from ISD leverage the latest technical capabilities that modern digital systems are able to provide without complexity, expense and lost productivity. The company'sunique approach to IP video provides a new level of usability and affordability, while maximizing system performance and delivering unique feature sets.

"For IP to truly reach mass adoption, IP solutions have to provide a high level of flexibility and manageability without limiting the rich features expected of network-based technologies," said Pete Jankowski, Chairman and President, Next Level Security Systems. "ISD redefines IP with solutions that not only ease complexity, but simplify the path to greater security and overall situational awareness."

"Customer expectations on video quality and equipment reliability are rising. Thin client, solutions based offerings are becoming the norm rather than the exception, and devices need to be simple to install and manage for customers new to IP and for IP veterans." said Scott Sereboff, CEO, Veracity USA. "ISD delivers new functionality to meet the demanding performance requirements of IP surveillance while delivering an effortless and stress-free user experience."

Johnston, CEO of the company, has extensive experience in the IP surveillance and security market. He has a broad working knowledge of diverse camera technology platforms, the latest CMOS imaging technology and embedded IP network systems. He is also highly experienced in finding solutions to complex issues to maximize results from product development programs.

ISD will unveil its product roadmap at the upcoming 2012 ISC West Conference and Exhibition, held March 28-30, 2012 at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas. ISD surveillance solutions will be on display at the Network Optix booth # 16119 and the Veracity USA booth # 5101.
