January 15, 2013 — ESA of Florida (ESA-FL), the newest Chartered Chapter of the Electronic Security Association, will host its inaugural Youth Scholarship Golf Tournament on Monday, Feb. 18 during the upcoming ESA-FL Convention and ESA Leadership Summit. The tournament, which will be held at the Golden Bear Club in Windermere, Fla., will benefit the ESA of Florida Youth Scholarship Program.
“We’re excited to be hosting the first ever ESA-FL Youth Scholarship Golf Tournament in conjunction with our inaugural convention and the ESA Leadership Summit,” said Steve Paley, ESA-FL president.
“In just a few months, our chapter has already brought together some of the top security integration companies in Florida through programming and events, and we think this golf tournament will give everyone an opportunity to further connect and raise money for a good cause.”
The Golden Bear Club, which is surrounded by sparkling lakes and majestic oaks, is an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course at Keene’s Pointe that appeals to golfers at every skill level.
Registration for the tournament includes round trip transportation from the Rosen Centre Hotel; green fees and exclusive access to the private club facilities; cart; boxed lunch; unlimited range balls; a gift bag with tee gift amenity set; and post-play reception. The tournament will run from 11:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Participants will have the opportunity to win awards and contests throughout the tournament, including:
• Hole-in-one contest on 12th hole: $15,000 cash prize.
• Great Callaway prizes offered for par threes on certain holes.
• Shotgun winners will each receive a $100 gift card.
• Closet to the pin will receive a $50 gift card.
• Longest putt will receive a $50 gift card.
The tournament is just one part of the ESA-FL Convention, which includes ESA-FL’s first Board of Directors Breakfast and Meeting and the Annual Membership Meeting, both of which will take place at the golf course. The ESA-FL Convention is co-located with the ESA Leadership Summit, where electronic security leaders from across the nation will engage in leading education and networking opportunities.
During the ESA-FL Convention, ESA-FL members can mix and mingle with ESA members from across the nation as they sit in on seminars regarding the industry's latest trends, enjoy networking receptions and browse the Showcase Meeting Area during the ESA Leadership Summit (Feb. 18-21 at the Rosen Centre Hotel).
