ECC mass notification system earns top award for reliability and cost effectiveness

NORTHFORD, Conn., May 16, 2013 – Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell (NYSE:HON) announces its new Emergency Command Center (ECC) has earned the top Mass Notification System award in the Security Industry Association’s (SIA) New Products Showcase (NPS) competition. This year, with the judging of 84 new products across 20 product and service categories taking place during one of the world’s largest security-centric events, ISC West, the level of competition reached an all-time high.

“Each year, the companies competing in SIA’s New Product Showcase at ISC West present the leading-edge security solutions that are shaping the industry,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson. “These new technologies and solutions are the drivers that are moving the security industry forward, and I congratulate Fire-Lite Alarms on their win at this year’s NPS.”

The ECC mass notification system from Fire-Lite Alarms is designed to seamlessly interface with new and existing fire alarms systems to reduce costs and leverage the proven reliability of these systems, as mandated by code. The ECC is one system with a variety of interchangeable components that make it easy to meet a broad range of facilities’ emergency communication needs.

All Fire-Lite Alarms products are non-proprietary and sold through security equipment distributors nationwide, meaning parts are always readily available and facilities are never locked into only one installer/service provider.

“Being recognized by SIA and winning the NPS Mass Notification category award is a big honor,” exclaims David Pakech, VP of Sales, Fire-Lite Alarms. “We’re really excited about the new business opportunity the ECC offers installers and we hope awards such as this highlight how powerful this system can be -- for any facility.”
