Jeff Scott named new Vice President of Sales for the North American region

Vienna, VA – June 10, 2013- Precise Biometrics, an innovation leader in providing authentication solutions, and developer of Tactivo, a smart casing that provides both smart card and fingerprint authentication to mobile devices, announces today that it has appointed seasoned industry sales and biometric technology expert, Jeff Scott, as its new Vice President of Sales for the North American region. Mr. Scott brings over 15 years of experience to this new position, particularly focused on IT engineering, sales, identity management, and biometric solutions within the federal government and international markets.

In this new role, Mr. Scott will be responsible for the management and strategic expansion of the company’s footprint and market share across North America, particularly within the U.S. federal government, as well as the development of new and innovative products and solutions and cultivation of key partnerships with other industry leaders. Mr. Scott brings a strong and established track-record for sales success within the federal government, currently the largest market for Precise Biometrics’ innovative Tactivo product, and focus of Precise Biometrics’ future growth plans. This appointment of Mr. Scott to manage and continue the expansion of U.S. sales comes as part of a larger strategic effort to relocate the Global Head of Tactivo Sales operations to the United States from its current headquarters in Sweden later on this year.

“We are excited to welcome Jeff Scott to his new position leading our sales efforts across the North American region, particularly focused on growing our footprint within the federal government,” Precise Biometrics’ CEO, Thomas Marschall says. “We anticipate a continued increase in sales orders across the U.S. over the next months that will necessitate a steady expansion of sales resources and support to strengthen our operations in the North American region, and we are confident that Mr. Scott brings the necessary background, skills, and expertise to lead us successfully in this direction going forward.”

“I look forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of Precise Biometrics within the U.S. federal government space in my new role,” Precise Biometrics’ Vice President of Sales for North America Jeff Scott says. ”Our recent designation by GSA for Tactivo as an approved FIPS 201 certified product is a large milestone in our continued efforts to grow our footprint within the government space. I plan to continue to help the government to meet the current and future authentication mandates, including the continued expanded use of the federal PIV card started by HSPD-12, and DOD directives for the CAC, and to be an evolving partner in future mobile and BYOD deployments.”

Prior to joining the company in November, 2012, Jeff Scott held a number of sales, business development, and engineering positions with industry-leading companies over his career, including Smartmatic, WCC, ImageWare Systems, Inc. and as a contractor with the U.S. Department of State.
