A leading manufacturer of video surveillance solutions proven the world over, Dahua Technology is now shipping its Ultra High-Definition (UHD) Camera Series featuring a 12MP CMOS sensor that provides higher sensitivity and lower noise with 4K real-time monitoring for excellent image performance.

The new models combine outstanding image quality with a wealth of features for highly efficient and detailed video surveillance. The cameras come in dome and bullet-style options with a 4.1-16.4mm varifocal motorized lens and integrated IR illumination up to 164 feet. For challenging lighting scenarios, Dahua’s Smart Scene Adaptive (SSA) technology automatically evaluates and compensates for lighting changes. SSA regulates exposure and improves image quality in backlit environments, especially in scenes with traffic lights or headlights.
The IK10- and IP67-rated day/night cameras are capable of 12MP (4000 x 3000) at 20 fps and 4K (3840 x 2160) at 30 fps. Electronic Pan/Tilt/Zoom (E-PTZ) allows an operator to monitor a large area from a single camera, reducing overall security costs. H.265 encoding helps alleviate the bandwidth and storage concerns that come with UHD, offering double the data compression ratio over H.264. In addition, the cameras are “future-proof,” allowing for backward compatibility with H.264.
Improving the effectiveness of video surveillance, Intelligent Video System (IVS) is a built-in analytic algorithm with intelligent functions including tripwire, intrusion detection, and detection of abandoned or missing objects. This allows a user to more quickly and accurately respond to events in a specific area. Intelligent Business Analytics offers people counting and heat mapping functionalities to accurately track and report people flow, providing a visual summary of active areas. This data is especially valuable in commercial applications and retail environments.
