NICE Systems has enhanced its NiceVision video surveillance solution to include crowd detection and camera tampering content analytics applications. The system combines real-time video analysis with IP networking, recording and management to enable effective detection, verification, resolution and investigation of events. The crowd detection solution is designed for airport terminals and other public transportation environments, automatically alerting officials when crowds or queues (in security screening lines or other high-traffic areas) exceed pre-defined thresholds. The camera tampering detection solution automatically identifies tampering to ensure video image capture and integrity. The solution alerts when potential tampering is detected based on excessive brightness or darkness, a blocked camera view due to spray painting or other obstructions, out of focus/blurred images, or redirection of a camera from its initial position/field of view.
