    Superterm-8 from Continental Instruments is an intelligent, expandable controller that supports access control functions for 1-8 doors. The distributed, processor-based panel operates as a standalone unit in the event server-communications are interrupted. Once programmed using the supplier's CardAccess software, the system automatically stores transactions in its internal memory and does not require continuous server communications. Memory is field expandable, and the Flash EPROM firmware easily upgrades when additional system enhancements are required. The controllers come standard with extensive multi-stage lightning/transient protection for harsh environments.
