COLUMBIA, SC – AUGUST 7, 2015 – AlliedBarton Security Services, the industry’s premier provider of highly trained security personnel, and the ASIS Central South Carolina Chapter will host the inaugural Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pine Island facility located on 150 State Rd. in Columbia, SC.

This luncheon for peace officers will feature Alan Wilson, South Carolina’s Attorney General, who will address attending officers and thank them for their service before presenting an award. He will be joined by Lexington County Sherriff Bryan “Jay” Koon and Mark Keel, the director of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.

“This is an important event to salute the men and women who keep our communities safe,” said Wilson. “I look forward to joining State Law Enforcement Division Chief Mark Keel and Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon in recognizing state and local law enforcement for their service.”

Along with local and state officials, this luncheon will feature Columbia-based business leaders who will also salute law enforcement for their efforts.

“Every day, officers face potential dangers when they protect and serve their communities,” said Adrian Peters, ASIS Central South Carolina Chapter Chairman, and AlliedBarton Business Development Manager. “As officers encounter new challenges, it remains important to recognize and support them.”
