Three decades after first outdoor camera enclosure, company continues to design unique cameras and accessories

ATLANTA—Videolarm, a closed circuit television (CCTV) camera and accessory innovator and manufacturer, today announced they will be celebrating its 30th anniversary on July 8, 2006. The Videolarm family has invited their dealer, distributors, manufacturer reps, customers and vendors to celebrate with them at Costley Mill Park in Conyers, GA.

Videolarm, Inc., has been the lead innovator in the CCTV industry for 30 years. In 1976, Ray Pagano started Videolarm Inc. by developing and manufacturing the first outdoor dome enclosure. His concept was to enclose all of the electronics of a camera system into a street light and allow the use of light duty indoor motors/cameras to be used in outdoor applications. Since then Videolarm has been awarded more than a dozen patents.

One of Videolarm’s more innovative products is the PolEvator which is based on the concept of bringing a housing down to a person’s handling for safe servicing.

Recently Videolarm has put additional efforts into accommodating the IT world by redesigning their domes and housings to accommodate IP cameras as well as wireless options. As IT continues to embrace security, they look to Videolarm for their needs.

What started as a concept by one man has turned into the fruition of the American Dream. Videolarm Inc. offers over 500 products and has installations on 6 continents.
