Bold Technologies, Dynamark and Advanced Access Security drive hosted access control cloud solution

Rick Caruthers, the Executive Vice President for Galaxy Control Systems is not exactly saying that his company is boldly going where no access control company has gone before, but he is sure that security dealers are going to love where they are taking them. Galaxy Control Systems, a leading provider of integrated access control and security solutions, is introducing a new cloud-based, real-time, hosted access control partnership and integration program that will provide dealers new RMR opportunities to provide services only enterprise customers previously enjoyed.

Galaxy is partnering with alarm monitoring software provider Bold Technologies, UL-approved monitoring company Dynamark, along with new technology partner Advanced Access Security for this venture into the cloud and hosted EAC and monitoring.

“We are adding the element of monitoring that no one else has thought of and writing the software interface with Bold Technologies that gives us the ability to offer to the dealer a monitored aspect to their access control. We are also meeting with MicroKey, the second largest software provider to the central stations and we will be writing an interface with them as well,” says Caruthers.  “So this will provide Dealers another RMR opportunity beside that which they are already getting from fire, burg and what you get from you door fee on a hosted access cloud. They will now get the monitoring side.”

Caruthers adds that Galaxy has established a team approach to provide this innovative cloud-based, fully hosted and managed access control and monitoring solution that allows each partner to focus on what they do best.

“Through this partnership with Bold Technologies, Advanced Access Security and Dynamark, we are providing end users with a highly cost-effective and extremely efficient access control solution designed to accommodate any system and budget,” he says.

The new hosted and managed access control service provided under this partnership is UL-listed and delivers all the benefits of a locally managed system without customers having to take responsibility for, and incur the expense of, maintaining on-site hardware. The complete turnkey access control solution includes professional 24/7 management and supports industry standard access technologies to deliver a range of services that enable real-time management, allowing end users to focus on their core business.

“Through this partnership, we have the opportunity to bring professional security monitoring services to a far broader base of customers,” Trey Alter, CEO, Dynamark adds. “Building a hosted access solution is an intelligent response to the needs of many end users who do not have the resources to host and manage their own localized system.”

Rod Coles, CEO of Bold Technologies, agrees, “Integrating with Galaxy Control Systems was an easy decision for Bold to make. It provides a significant competitive advantage for monitoring centers as they can easily add access control to their portfolio of monitored services.”

Advanced Access Security, located in northern Virginia, has been integral to the development of the solution and is the first vendor to deploy this innovative service. Advanced Access Security is leveraging its existing client relationships to introduce the new Galaxy Control Systems’ partnership program as a more cost-effective option for managed and hosted access control. Utilizing the integration between Galaxy Control Systems’ System Galaxy software and Bold Technologies’ central station management solutions allow Advanced Access Security to work with Dynamark to provide end users with 24/7 hosted access control systems and services.

“Advanced Access Security is pleased to have partnered with Galaxy Control Systems, and together is providing the best monitoring solution in the marketplace,” said Jay Friend, President, Advanced Access Security. “Through its mobile application and 24/7 customer support, Advanced Access Security is excited to continue growing in the Washington, DC market, as well as throughout the United States.”

Advanced Access Security has started to implement the solution to customers, and Galaxy plans to expand upon this program to offer hosted and managed access control services to all of its dealers.

“Traditionally this option has been sold in the leased office community spaces. We’re finding a lot of success in the smaller businesses – those who don’t want to burden of managing an access control system. They don’t want to build the infrastructure, they don’t want somebody there running it and they don’t want to have to maintain it. We are trying to be creative with property managers and help our dealers,” stress Caruthers.
