The CONSULT Technical Security Symposium, hosted by securityspecifiers.com and sponsored by SecurityInfoWatch, Security Technology Executive and Security Business magazines among others, has canceled its 2020 event, which was to be held in Nashville on Oct. 24-27.

"By profession, consultants assess and manage risk and, in assessing the current climate, our duty to attendees and their families made the course of action clear," event coordinator Ray Coulombe said in a statement.

The next CONSULT event will be held October 23-26, 2021, at the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk in San Antonio.

Submissions for the annual The Elliot A. Boxerbaum Memorial Award, which recognizes collaboration, design excellence, uniqueness, creativity, and administration factors which contributed to a highly successful security project, will remain open, with awards for both 2020 and 2021 being presented at the 2021 event in San Antonio.

The winning project will still be featured in the December Security Technology Executive and Security Business magazines. All submitters of a valid application will have CONSULT 2021 registration fees waived.
