Designation allows firm to sell evac systems to government mid-rise and high-rise buildings

SANFORD, Fla.--High Rise Escape Systems, Inc., announced today that the United States General Services Administration has awarded the company GSA contract number GS-07F-0340U. The designation opens up vast opportunities for High Rise Escape Systems, Inc., to sell its specialized evacuation systems for medium to high rise buildings to all branches of the U.S. government. The GSA designation will immediately expose High Rise Escape Systems, Inc., and its Guardian and Responder Emergency Evacuation Systems to thousands of existing and future U.S. government facilities in the United States and around the world.

"The U.S. government is the largest customer that a company can have," explained Ryan Alles, President of High Rise Escape Systems, Inc. "This award by the GSA further establishes our company's credibility in both the domestic and the international marketplaces. This new five-year GSA Contract [with three renewal terms], coupled with the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security Qualified Anti-Terrorism Designation [2002 SAFETY Act] we received last year, shows that we have products with broad uses and capabilities. The recent uprising against the U.S. Embassy in Serbia is just one example where our products would have added a very crucial measure of risk management to help protect American lives. I believe numerous government agencies will be very interested in the unique attributes, adaptability and cost-effectiveness that our products offer," projected Ryan.

Each year there are thousands of fires and structural failures in skyscrapers, office buildings, high rise condominiums and hotels that create life-threatening circumstances for residents, tenants and guests. High Rise Escape Systems' Guardian and Responder Emergency Evacuation Systems are designed to save lives, whether directly because of a terrorist incident or because of one of the many other reasons that people need to safely be evacuated from a dangerous building when the current conventional methods cannot be used. The High Rise Escape Systems' Guardian and Responder Emergency Evacuation Systems serve as both alternative and supplemental means of egress for buildings and structures of up to 999 feet, about 100 floors.
