Autonomy CEO Nominated for European Business Leaders Award

CAMBRIDGE, England and SAN FRANCISCO , California, January 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced that its CEO, Dr Mike Lynch OBE, has been nominated Innovator of the Year in the run up to the European Business Leaders Awards (EBLA) 2008. The EBLA are designed to celebrate business acumen and innovative spirit and are widely regarded as one of the highest recognitions of outstanding leadership. The nominations were announced by Mick Buckley, President and Managing Director of CNBC Europe , during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, held from 23-27 January in Davos, Switzerland .

The Awards programme, which is presented by CNBC Europe and for the first time conducted in partnership with the Financial Times, is now in its fifth year. The awards are highly regarded as CEOs from the FT Europe 500 are invited to join an independent EBLA Nominations Panel and vote for peers they believe are leaders making a significant impact in expanding global business in Europe .

Dr Mike Lynch founded Autonomy in 1996 based on his research at Cambridge University and rapidly established the company's reputation as a world-leading provider of infrastructure software for unstructured information and meaning-based technologies.
