WYNIT to encourage 'eCycling'

EPA program to help increase recycling of consumer electronics
July 21, 2008

WYNIT, which distributes a wide array of consumer electronics, announced Monday that it would encourage the manufacturers and dealers they work with to support the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s "Plug into eCycling" program.

The program was established to help cut down on the number of electronics being thrown away each year in the U.S., the inner parts of which contain toxic substances that can pollute the surrounding environment.

WYNIT has listed four ways in which its dealers can help protect the environment including; reducing energy consumption by saving energy with electronics, encouraging customers to reuse their old electronics by donating them to charities or community programs, recycling products that can’t be salvaged, and by purchasing more eco-friendly electronic goods.
