Mississippi School to Research Effective Stadium Security

Homeland security grant marks over half a million to study security at state's sports facilities

In Mississippi, the Southern Miss School of Human Performance and Recreation has received a grant to study stadium security

According to Ed Worthington, the director of the Mississippi Office of Homeland Security, the grant will included $568,000 to develop a research-based model for security management of athletic/sports facilities at Mississippi's eight state-funded universities.
