2007 conference merges formerly separate programs on sporting event planning and event security

A new event designed to bring together a sports management conference and sports security summit promises will be coming together at England's most famous stadium -- the Wembley Stadium in London, considered the home of football/soccer in the UK.

The event merges the International Sports Security Summit and the International Sports Event Management Conference, and is being billed as the International Sports Event Management & Security (ISEMS). The event will be held Oct. 31 - Nov. 1, 2007.

The event will featured both conference education/discussion sessions as well as an exhibit hall of vendors and solutions providers.

The event is being produced by Rushmans, which had held the previously separate events over recent years.

According to Rushmans, the events is designed for "national and international sports governing bodies, specialist event management companies, local authorities, stadium and facility owners and operators, media companies, sports marketing agencies, police and intelligence services and the companies which provide the technology, infrastructure and services which make events tick."
