Following a successful ASIS International exhibits show in Orlando, ASIS International has named its 2006 Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
Leading the board as ASIS International's president will be Jeffrey M. Spivey. Spivey, the president of Security Risk Management Inc., who holds the CPP and PSP certifications, will hold the 2006 president's slot, taking over the position from Daniel J. Consalvo, CPP, who will move to the chairman of the board position. Consalvo is the manager of coroporate security for State Farm Insurance Companies. Both Consalvo and Spivey will serve on the executive committee, which is elected annually by the board of directors.
Joining Consalvo and Spivey on the ASIS International Executive Committee will be:
- Steve D. Chupa, CPP, as president-elect. Chupa is the director of security, worldwide security group, for Johnson & Johnson.
- Timothy L. Williams, CPP, as treasurer. Williams is the vice president of corporate and systems security with Nortel Networks.
- Michael R. Cummings, CPP, as secretary. Cummings is the director of loss prevention services for Aurora Health Care.
The ASIS Board of Directors will include the following security professionals:
- Eduard J. Emde, CPP. Emde is the head of safety and security sections for the European Space Agency.
- Judith G. Matheny, CPP. Matheny is the vice president for corporate security, U.S. Region, for Lehman Brothers.
- Michael R. Cummings, CPP.
- Peter J. Mazzaroni, CPP. Mazzaroni is the manager of site services for Roche Carolina.
- Timothy L. Williams, CPP.
- Lawrence K. Berenson, CPP. Berenson is the security director for L-3 Communications Corp.
- John C. Cholewa III, CPP. Cholewa serves as the director of physical security for Sprint.
- Linda F. Florence, CPP. Florence is the physical security manager with Sprint Corporation Security.
- Joseph R. Granger, CPP. Granger is the security manager of the United Space Alliance.
- James E. McNeil, CPP. McNeil works with the Mayo Clinic as its security administrator.
- Thomas M. Seamon, CPP. Seamon is principal of the Roundhouse Group.
- Loretta Woodward Veney, CPP. Veney is the owner of Superior Training Solutions.
Emde and Matheny are newly elected to the board; Cummings, Mazzaroni and Williams are joining the board for their second term. The board held the elections for its executive committee prior to the Annual Seminar and Exhibits, held this past month in Orlando, Fla. All newly elected positions will become effective on Jan. 1, 2006.
