New megapixel recording offering

Surveon Technology continues to strengthen its megapixel recording solutions with the latest SMR (Smart Megapixel Recorder) systems featuring up to 48 channel Full HD live view, high I/O rates, large capacities, and overall system stability necessary to help system integrators meet the demands of megapixel environments.

The new Surveon SMR series includes the 6-Bay SMR6000H Hybrid Hardware RAID NVR, the 8-Bay SMR8000 desktop Hardware RAID NVR and the 8-Bay SMR8000U rack mount Hardware RAID NVR. These new SMR models are professionally designed for IP megapixel surveillance, accommodating up-to eight hot-swappable disk drives with Hardware RAID and 5-times higher I/O performance than COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) solutions which significantly prevents video-loss and reduces maintenance efforts. “The all-in-one form factor of the Surveon SMR series offers a highly integrated and proven solution for IP-based Surveillance,” said William Chen, Director of North America Business for Surveon. “It is Surveon’s goal to enable our partners to easily offer professional megapixel surveillance solutions to their customers without the issues typically associated with installation such as compatibility and maintenance. The Surveon SMR series are well-suited for mission-critical environments, such as retail outlets, restaurants, hotels, schools, banks and factories."

In addition, all SMR models come with Surveon’s intuitive VMS (Video Management Software) and provide enterprise-level features such as local live viewing, real-time analytics, multi-display, video bookmarking, instant playback, remote monitoring, HTML overlay and domain management.
