ISSI subsidiary B&B ARMR Corporation to market system using a buried detection system for detecting perimeter breaches

IRVING, Texas - Integrated Security Systems, Inc. (ISSI), a leading manufacturer and provider of homeland security related products, including anti-terrorist barriers and perimeter security technology, today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, B&B ARMR Corporation has reached an agreement with GPS, an Ivrea, Italy based security firm, to market and exclusively distribute the complete range of GPS invisible perimeter security technology to the North American market. B&B ARMR will sell the GPS buried detection system as part of a total perimeter security solution to complement its industry leading line of anti-terrorist gates and barriers.

The GPS system is an intelligent and unobtrusive solution that can be used in a wide variety of threat vulnerable projects, from nuclear power stations, airports, petro-chemical and government complexes and banks to museums and other facilities that have the need for invisible perimeter detection. GPS Perimeter Systems has been selling the invisible GPS systems for over 25 years in Europe to highly prestigious and sensitive security installations.

"We see the need for inconspicuous high security technology as important as the integrity of the solution itself," stated Peter Beare, Chief Executive Officer of B&B ARMR. "With the sophistication quotient of terrorists increasing, the ability to provide effective and undetectable perimeter protection is essential. The GPS technology represents a major step forward in this strategy."

The companies plan to offer the GPS buried detection system in combination with fixed and portable anti-terrorist barriers by B&B ARMR, in conjunction with monitoring consoles and access control technology by the Intelli-Site and DoorTek divisions of ISSI in integral project specific packages. The GPS system provides positive and virtual error free detection of intruders that will then provide network signals to initiate positive protection, such as deployment of barriers and initiation of CCTV recording to the points on incidence.

"The well established system integration channels of B&B ARMR will serve as a ready outlet for our security portals," stated Tommie Tommaselli, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for GPS. "We look forward to working with a company that is already a recognized leader in the homeland security and anti-terrorist efforts is an important step in bringing our technology to the North American market."

The agreement is focused on the North American market, but the parties have also agreed to a unique relationship in the Middle East, borrowing on the B&B ARMR partnerships already established there.
