The rugged illuminators are weatherproof, lightweight, and feature low power consumption. Combined with an infrared sensitive CCTV camera, the illuminators produce a night-time or covert surveillance system ideal for military and law enforcement, airports, government facilities, border and harbor patrols, railways, nuclear facilities, and other facilities that require high levels of security.
In addition to the U.S. patent 6,902,299, patents for the long-distance active infrared illuminators are pending in Europe and Canada.
