Extreme CCTV has unveiled the new ZX700 infrared illuminator, capable of providing 1km (0.6 miles) of active-IR night vision. The illuminator is especially designed for homeland security applications, especially at ports and critical infrastructure applications.
The ZX700 uses "Gold Optics" and special filters to produce a highly focused cylindrical beam engineered to penetrate long-distances. Requiring very low input power, a dual system achieves 1km of high-resolution night vision when used with Extreme's approved IR-sensitive cameras and lenses.
The ZX700 has been integrated with radar systems for "Seek and Define" proactive security.
