Ingersoll Rand names new president for commercial security

Former Nokia exec to head commercial security technologies division in Americas

Ingersoll Rand, a leading provider of commercial security products, announced today that Tim Eckersley has been named president of the Commercial Americas sector of Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies.

Eckersley is making his move over from Nokia, where he led the company's North American mobile device (phone) business. He will report to Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies president Mike Lamach.

The company is known for a variety of security technologies used in the areas of building access and company automation. Among the product lines are electronic access control, door closing and exit devices, commercial door hardware and steel door frames, biometrics and time and attendance units.

Eckersley holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a master's in Business Administration from the University of Texas system.
