Battery-powered PIR motion sensor with an integrated video camera and infrared illuminators

Videofied’s new outdoor camera/detector (OMV601) with encrypted wireless on a battery-powered platform reduces alarm signals to the monitoring station and provides instant outdoor protection.  The new camera includes a “signal reduction kit” with 4 different Fresnel lens options for the PIR detector (vertical curtain, horizontal curtain, beam and standard) as well as a sophisticated masking lens with knockouts to limit detection specific areas.  The new high visibility LED on the walk-test indicator makes it easy for installers to verify the actual detection area during installation, even in the sun on a bright day.  Application specific detection patterns and defined masking areas (with the high visibility walk test) provide installers a new level of accuracy for outdoor protection while reducing unwanted signals to the central station.  Finally, there is a new programmable “swinger shutdown” option with notification of both “shutdown” and “restore” based upon specific numbers of activations in a specified period.  All of these features and applications have been incorporated into the new interactive Videofied Outdoor Technical Training course with a formal certification for technicians as outdoor installers.

Videofied’s new “accelerometer tamper” detects if the camera is moved or repositioned after installation – whether the system is armed or not – and immediately sends the tamper signal to the central station.  This is ideal for portable and temporary installations where the cameras/camera mounts are vulnerable to being moved.  The tamper feature can also be remotely disabled through the downloader if desired.

The new VGA color camera delivers video clips of intruders to the central station for immediate review/dispatch.  There is a smartphone app that allows the end user to remotely look-in and view if there are cars in the parking lot, if the packages have arrived, etc.  Four infrared illuminators enable true night vision in total darkness.  The new faster long-range 900 MHz radio reaches over 1,000 feet line of sight and up to 500 feet through sheetrock and stud walls.  Fully encrypted spread-spectrum security prevents hacking and jamming.  Unrivaled battery life provide fully supervised protection for up to four years.  A single screw into a metal insert makes it simple for technicians to change the 4 AA lithium batteries.

The new input/output terminal block inside enables third party devices to trigger the camera.  This means that video verification is now easy and affordable for other “best in class outdoor devices.”  It also means simple wireless battery-powered video solutions for gate contacts, perimeter beams, and panic buttons.  The new Videofied outdoor camera was designed to work in harsh environments; delivering reliable protection in rain or snow through a Minnesota winter or an Arizona summer.  Videofied’s battery-powered outdoor panel with internal cell model is the perfect companion and opens entirely new outdoor applications where the only infrastructure required is a cell signal – no power, no wires, no kidding.
