Security Costs Raise Price of Passports

Enhanced security raises cost of passport by $12

New "security enhancements" to the passport system will add $12 to the cost of a passport, the U.S. Postal Service announced Friday.

For those 16 and older, a passport will cost $67, plus a $30 "execution" fee. For those younger than 16, passports will cost $52, plus the $30 fee. Expedited service is still available, for an extra $60
