In April 2004, Imprivata shipped the OneSign enterprise single sign-on appliance. Imprivata's unique appliance-based approach for providing secure and convenient access to enterprise applications became quickly adopted by organizations in regulated industries such as healthcare, financial services and state and local government, as well as a mix of other organizations that needed to quickly and effectively solve password security and user access issues.
OneSign has received top ratings in product reviews at InfoWorld, SC Magazine, PC News Weekly, Federal Computer Week, IT Week, CNETand Web Week. OneSign was also selected for an Information Security "Product of the Year" Award. OneSign was selected Best Single Sign-On Product at the SC Magazine Awards in Europe and recently, David Ting, the company's founder, was selected by InfoWorld as one of the top CTOs of 2006.
Imprivata's channel-driven sales model enabled the company to quickly scale as demand for OneSign rapidly increased. In 2005, Imprivata expanded its infrastructure into Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Technology partnerships were formed with authentication, provisioning and physical security vendors. In that same year, Imprivata shipped OneSign 3.0, increasing extensibility and expanding authentication to include physical access cards.
