DynTek Appoints Bill Tomlinson as National Security Practice Director and Corporate Security Officer
DynTek, Inc., a leading provider of technology, management and IT security solutions, today announced the company has appointed Bill Tomlinson as National Security Practice Director and Corporate Security Officer. Mr. Tomlinson directed the IT security practice for Integration Technologies, Inc. (ITI), which was acquired by DynTek in October.
"We are very pleased with the value added by the recent acquisition of ITI, as well as Redrock Communications," said Steve Ross, DynTek's chief executive officer. "For the twelve months ended June 30, 2004, these businesses, combined with DynTek, produced approximately $85 million in revenues, and based on current run rates, we believe pro forma revenues will exceed $100 million in calendar 2005."
Ross continued, "In addition to scale, the acquisitions have brought management talent. Bill Tomlinson's management skills, industry reputation and exemplary professional background in IT security are a tremendous addition to the DynTek team. Under his leadership, we expect our security practice to expand its national profile and accelerate its overall contribution to corporate earnings."
Mr. Tomlinson will be responsible for leading the strategic direction, operations and delivery capabilities of the company's IT security practice. Prior to ITI, Mr. Tomlinson was a National Technology Strategist in security for Microsoft and the security lead of the company's elite Delta Force, where he was responsible for training partners on security procedures, methodologies and implementation strategies. As a Certified Information System Security Professional and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer with over 30 years of experience, he brings extensive field level insight and thought leadership to this role. In addition, he was an author and contributing designer of NATO's classified and unclassified network systems in Bosnia. Mr. Tomlinson had a distinguished military career as a cryptologist in the Special Warfare Program of the United States Navy, retiring after 22 years of service.
"Virtually every element of information technology, whether hardware, software or policy, requires some degree of professional security services in order to safely and securely function," said Tomlinson. "By implementing an aggressive growth plan, backed by a strategic focus on profitable operations, DynTek can significantly expand its footprint in this pervasive market space. We have the intellectual property, methodologies and partnerships needed to launch a more extensive set of solutions that will appeal to a broader set of clients. I am thrilled to join the company and lead our efforts in this area."
