The 5570M Industrial Intercom from Edwards Signaling & Security Systems is a heavy-duty, two-way communications device designed specifically for industrial and hazardous locations. Available in 120/240VAC 50/60Hz and 24VAC/DC, the Edwards intercom and speaker is adaptable to virtually any communications infrastructure including petrochemical plants, offshore oil platforms, textile mills, airports, bottling facilities, food processing, pulp and paper mills, or wastewater treatment plants. The 5570M is rated for NEMA Type 3R installations, as well as for Class I Div. 2, Class II Div. 2, and Class III hazardous locations.

The flexible Edwards intercom can function in a balanced or unbalanced line operation and in a Master or Satellite mode configuration. The unit has transformer isolated audio inputs and comes with a choice of four alert tones. Customers can also equip the 5570M with an optional, hand-held, noise-cancelling microphone to combat high ambient sound in adverse environments.
