Milestone is showcasing Selective Blur at GSX 2026, a video privacy tool powered by the company’s brighter AI technology that allows security teams to blur faces and license plates directly within exported video while retaining the surrounding context of an event.

Unlike broad redaction methods that can obscure large portions of video, Selective Blur applies privacy protection only where it is needed. This approach is designed to preserve the evidentiary value of recordings while helping organizations protect sensitive visual information.

The tool enables organizations to share video with customers, partners, law enforcement and other stakeholders without limiting investigative workflows. By targeting faces and license plates rather than broadly obscuring video content, Selective Blur provides a more focused approach to privacy protection and evidence sharing.

Selective Blur is available through Milestone’s Arcules Video Surveillance as a Service platform, giving operators a flexible way to manage privacy protection when exporting and sharing video.
