NAPCO Security Technologies has introduced a new cloud-based access control platform and a corresponding line of access panels aimed at helping security dealers and integrators expand services and recurring revenue opportunities.

The company announced the availability of its MVP Cloud-Based Access Control Platform alongside the new NA-Series 1- and 2-door access panels, which are now shipping through security distributors nationwide. The NA-Series includes the NA-1 and NA-2 models and is designed for cloud-ready deployments without the need for additional on-site components.

According to the company, the NA-Series panels are built to support faster and more economical installations by reducing installation time, equipment needs and ongoing service requirements. The panels are cloud-ready out of the box and intended to simplify deployment compared to systems that require supplemental hardware. Installation can be further accelerated through the MVP EZ App, which includes a Scan2Enroll feature that allows installers to use a smartphone camera to scan a QR code on a panel or access lock to enroll the device into the system.

The NA-Series panels are designed specifically for use with Napco’s MVP Cloud-Based Platform, which supports both mobile-only deployments under MVP-EZ and hybrid remote and on-premise configurations using mobile and desktop management. The platform is intended to allow dealers to standardize installations while scaling systems from small business environments to large multi-site deployments without changing hardware or software. Napco positions this approach as a way to support predictable recurring monthly revenue and a lower total cost of ownership for end users.

The MVP platform also supports managed services by allowing dealers to define customizable end-user privileges. Customers can be given varying levels of system control through a mobile app, desktop interface, or both. Core functions include remote user management, scheduling, system status and emergency notifications and the ability to lock down individual doors or groups of doors as needed. Napco states that reducing on-site equipment and enabling remote service can help dealers lower service costs while increasing long-term account value.

In addition to the new NA-Series panels, the MVP platform supports Napco’s existing line of wireless access locks, including Prox, PIN and mobile-ready options for a range of door types and applications. The platform accommodates multiple credential types, including BLE, mobile, NFC, Prox and MIFARE, and is designed to scale from a small number of doors and users to large deployments on a single platform. The company also indicated that the platform will support integrated video, reflecting the growing role of video in access control and security workflows.

The MVP Cloud-Based Access Control Platform and NA-Series access panels are available now through Napco security distributors, with online product introductions and training sessions also available.
