4200 Electric Strike

April 21, 2014

The 4200 is transforming how electric strikes are bought, stocked, installed, and powered.  New to the industry is a removable ramp/fascia, which allows the flexibility to change the color of the most visible part of the strike in the field.  For decades, changing the faceplate (which you see 5% of the time) didn’t mean changing the black ramp (which you see 100% of the time).  The flexibility of the 4200 is revolutionizing how electric strikes are perceived.

This model has the tallest latch cavity in its class, nearly twice what the competition offers.  This allows flexibility for installers with everyday door problems to make adjustments in the field.

The 4200 comes standard with 4 faceplates that cover most installation needs, especially with aluminum frames.  Additionally, it works with auxiliary latch “pins” that often cause problems for other electric strikes. Other specifications for the 4200 include a shallow 1 – 1/16 backset, low current draw, 12 & 24 DC, 12-24 AC voltage, and comes with a trim skirt that matches the fascia color.  Low current draw (PoE friendly) allows the 4200 to work off the power provided by most PoE systems, edge devices, or save power and money on smaller power supplies on traditional panel systems.
