Camden Expands CX-WC Restroom Control System Line

Camden Door Controls has expanded its line of column switch restroom control systems with the introduction of the CX-WC17 and CX-WC18 series, featuring built-in LED annunciation.
The new restroom control systems include VR models with column switches that incorporate an integrated touchless sensor and mechanical activation through a full-length center actuator. The CX-WC18 series features a slim profile, measuring 4-1/2 inches wide, designed to be less intrusive in restroom environments.
All models feature heavy-duty extruded aluminum construction and CSA-compliant activation plates. The systems are available in both side-load and top-load configurations.
Top-load models are intended for installations where there is no obstruction above the unit and where a low-profile depth of 2-1/4 inches is desired. These models are installed vertically using adjustable leveling screws. Side-load models are designed for confined spaces where physical obstructions such as hand dryers are present above the switch or where installation occurs on narrow curtain walls or glass lites. The compact size is intended to make the switches less obtrusive, particularly when multiple units are mounted together for restroom privacy control.
According to the company, the column switches are designed to provide a single activation touchless device in place of two high and low switches, which are required by a growing number of building codes across North America. The CX-WC18VR series is designed to meet compliance requirements of ADA, NBC, CSA, CSBC, OBC and the California Building Code.
The CX-WC18VR series is available in clear aluminum, black and bronze anodized finishes. PS models include a pre-wired metal enclosure with the CX-33PS power supply, transformer and the CX-ED2079 electric strike. A range of faceplate graphic options and multilanguage signage is also available.
