Kwikset has launched a new line of entry sets designed to provide homeowners with a coordinated look across exterior entry points while maintaining the company's residential security features.

The new collection is intended for front doors, back doors, garage entry doors and side entrances. Each entry set combines a deadbolt with either a handle or knob mounted on matching interior and exterior backplates. According to the company, the low-profile backplates are designed to blend with the door for a clean appearance while delivering the same security as a standard Kwikset deadbolt.

The entry sets expand four existing Kwikset collections: Halifax, Sedona, Sora and Pismo. Halifax features straight lines and a smooth handle for contemporary and transitional spaces, while Sedona incorporates an updated wave shape with a slim profile. Sora offers a traditional-style knob with detailed edging and Pismo features clean lines and a minimalist design.

All entry sets include Kwikset's patented SmartKey Security technology, which is designed to protect against advanced break-in techniques and allows homeowners to re-key their locks in seconds. The technology also enables multiple exterior doors to be secured with a single key for simplified access management.

Amanda Archer, group manager of product marketing at Kwikset, said exterior hardware "should do more than secure the front door. It should bring style and confidence to every entry point." Archer added that the new entry sets allow homeowners to create a seamless exterior appearance while benefiting from the convenience of SmartKey Security and the performance associated with the Kwikset brand.

Kwikset said the entry sets are suited for remodels, home upgrades, new construction, rental turnovers and move-ins. Each set is designed for do-it-yourself installation using only a screwdriver and fits standard doors measuring 1 3/8 to 1 3/4 inches thick with door bore holes spaced 5 1/2 inches apart. The adjustable latch supports both 2 3/8-inch and 2 3/4-inch backsets.

Each package includes an exterior keyed backplate, interior backplate, adjustable latches, strikes, a SmartKey tool, two Kwikset keys and installation hardware. Halifax and Sedona models include coordinating levers, while Sora and Pismo models include coordinating knobs.

The entry sets are available in Satin Nickel, Matte Black and Satin Brass finishes. They are backed by a lifetime mechanical and finish warranty and will be available through The Home Depot, Lowe's, Amazon and other major retailers with prices starting at $135.99.
