Kwikset has launched Raya, a new textured door knob designed to bring a modern, luxurious look and tactile appeal to residential door hardware.

Raya features diamond knurling around the edges of the knob, providing a distinctive appearance and a firm, comfortable grip. The design is intended to add dimension and character throughout the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, closets and exterior entrances.

“Door hardware is one of the few design details homeowners interact with throughout the day, so how it feels can be just as important as how it looks,” said Amanda Archer, group manager of product marketing at Kwikset. “With Raya, we focused on creating that sense of quality in every interaction. The diamond knurling adds a distinctive, premium detail while the refined overall design makes it versatile enough to work across a range of modern spaces.”

Raya is available in keyed entry, passage, privacy and dummy functions. Keyed entry models are intended for exterior-facing doors or other applications requiring added security, while privacy models use push-button interior locking for bedrooms and bathrooms. Passage knobs are non-locking and intended for hallways and closets, while dummy knobs provide a non-turning option for pantries, French doors and other applications where only a pull is needed.

For front entrances, Raya is available in a combo pack that pairs the keyed entry knob with a low-profile deadbolt. Interior and dummy interior packs can be paired with Kwikset handlesets to extend the textured design to the inside of the front door.

Keyed entry and combo pack configurations feature Kwikset’s patented SmartKey Security, which allows homeowners to re-key the lock themselves in seconds. Entry, privacy and passage functions feature a premium chassis with dual compression springs intended to help keep the knob wobble-free over the lifetime of the product while enhancing its strength and rotational feel.

Raya products are designed for do-it-yourself installation and can be installed using a screwdriver and Allen wrench. Installation hardware and detailed directions are included. Entry, passage and privacy configurations fit standard doors from 1 3/8 to 1 3/4 inches thick and feature an adjustable latch that accommodates 2 3/8- or 2 3/4-inch backsets.

The collection is available in Satin Nickel and Matte Black finishes, with a Matte Black and Gunmetal mixed finish offered on select interior configurations. According to Kwikset, the two-tone option provides additional visual depth and contrast while maintaining the collection's contemporary aesthetic.

Raya entry, passage and privacy products are Grade AAA certified by the Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association for security, durability and finish. The products are backed by a lifetime mechanical and finish warranty.

The Raya collection will be available nationwide through key retailers and distributor partners, with prices starting at $33.99.
