Kwikset has introduced Capetown, a new arched trim collection designed to bring traditional architectural character and visual continuity to residential door hardware. The collection is available with select levers, knobs and deadbolts, offering coordinated options for doors throughout the home.

The Capetown arch trim is available with the Sedona lever and Sora knob for interior doors, while a matching Capetown 258 deadbolt extends the design to exterior entrances. Together, the products are designed to create a consistent hardware appearance across bedrooms, bathrooms, closets, shared living spaces and entry doors.

Featuring graceful curves and an oversized silhouette, the collection combines a classic arched form with a design intended to complement a variety of architectural and interior styles. Kwikset said the trim is particularly suited for traditional and historic homes, including neoclassical, colonial, traditional farmhouse and ornate Mediterranean styles.

The oversized trim is designed to create a substantial appearance while helping cover paint marks and surface imperfections left behind after previous door hardware is removed. For exterior-facing doors, the Capetown 258 deadbolt features a low-profile design and standard deadbolt security.

The Capetown deadbolt and keyed entry knobs and levers feature Kwikset's patented SmartKey Security, which protects against advanced break-in techniques and allows homeowners to re-key the lock themselves in seconds.

All Capetown products are designed for do-it-yourself installation using a screwdriver, with installation hardware and directions included. The collection fits standard doors ranging from 1 3/8 to 1 3/4 inches thick, while adjustable latches on all functions except the dummy feature accommodate 2 3/8- or 2 3/4-inch backsets.

The collection is available in Satin Nickel, Satin Brass and Matte Black finishes. The Capetown 258 deadbolt, along with Sedona and Sora entry, passage and privacy functions, are Grade AAA certified by the Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association for security, durability and finish. All products are backed by a lifetime mechanical and finish warranty.
