IIPSEC to address audio analytics

Conference program to hit on networked audio architecture, audio analytics software
Jan. 9, 2008

A session from Complus Teltronic, Ipsotek, Stentefon-Zenitel and TOA promises to look at recent trends and tests in using audio analytics for security applications.

According to a statement from IIPSEC promoters, whose conference convenes at the end of January in Coventry, UK, the session will also look in-depth at some recent installations and trials from the UK market.

Topics to be covered include the architecture of audio analytics systems, understanding performance variables, storage/archiving of audio, and software trends.

Audio analytics has been used at its most basic to recognize answers to yes/no questions (such as over the phone), but the future for this technology has applications in security at intercom systems accompanied with access controlled locations.
