Assa Abloy buys Alarm Controls

Assa Abloy recently announced that it has acquired Alarm Controls, a Deer Park, N.Y.-based maker of access control accessories.
According to a statement, the company will join Assa Abloy’s other group brands including Securitron and HES to serve the access control market.
"We are very pleased with the acquisition of Alarm Controls by Assa Abloy and know this will strengthen our relationships in the access control market," said Scott Baker, president of Assa Abloy Electro-Mechanical Specialties and OEM Group in a statement.
"Alarm Controls is a very exciting addition to the Assa Abloy Americas division. This acquisition will allow us to further enhance our ability to serve our customers in this very important market," added Thanasis Molokotos, head of the Americas division and executive vice president of Assa Abloy.
