Keyscan releases K-VAN prox reader

Whitby, Ontario, December 19, 2006 - Keyscan Inc. today announced that it has introduced the K-VAN proximity reader. The K-VAN has been specifically designed as an extremely tough vandal-resistant proximity reader. It's HID (125kHZ) compatible and accepts most HID 125 kHz credentials. Protected by a thick stainless steel housing that includes Fiber-Tex and Lexan face inserts, this ruggedly designed reader is ideal for schools, universities, or inner-city areas prone to crime and vandalism. The K-VAN, with its electronics protected in an epoxy potting, is suitable for indoor or outdoor use and offers optional tamper-proof blind mounting.
