SDC Releaes New Modular EMLock

Aug. 28, 2007
Design allows for upgrades in the field without requiring removal of the lcok from frame

SDC's new EmLock design now includes interchangeable modular assemblies that permit field upgrade of all components without removing the lock from the frame. Field upgrade modules include a timer, magnetic bond sensor, door status sensor, anti-tamper switch, holding force upgrade and energy saver upgrade.

Distributors, installers and building maintenance staff may upgrade or replace any component in just 5 minutes. Benefits include the elimination of delivery lead time and labor costs associated with lock replacement due to system requirements or parts exchange. Distributors may stock standard and special finish locks and add options as needed, eliminating the need for special orders. With no need to remove locks from the frame, distributor and installer exchanges are also eliminated. SDC magnetic locks are also backed by the EMLock Lifetime Warranty.
