Frost & Sullivan recognizes Bioscrypt innovation with 2005 leadership award

Bioscrypt Inc., a leading provider of identity verification technology, announced today that Frost & Sullivan has identified the company as the recipient of the 2005 Biometric Access Control Technology Leadership of the Year Award.

Bioscrypt has always been at the forefront of integrating biometrics to applications beyond the customary tasks of law enforcement and forensics. In providing reliable, robust, biometric applications that address the increasing need for secure access control, Bioscrypt has been able to participate in significant government projects such as the US Department of Homeland Security/Transportation Security Administration's Transportation Workers Identification Card program; as well as work with leading companies such as International Business Machines (IBM) as they introduce their identity management solution.

Bioscrypt is continually anticipating market demand and developing technology to address future needs. In 2004, Bioscrypt advanced its Door to Desktop(TM) strategy, a solution that would enable organizations to deploy Bioscrypt physical access technology in combination with Bioscrypt's logical access platform, the Bioscrypt Identity Management solution. Benefits to this solution include the consolidation of access credentials across the physical and logical enterprise; homogenized access policies; and a return on investment by reducing administrative tasks such as password management.

"The company's strategy has been to combine the high security of fingerprint reading with the ease of a single touch to both facilitate, while controlling, access to facilities, as well as equipment and information," said Michael Valenti, research analyst for Frost & Sullivan. "In addition to its own branded products, Bioscrypt contributes its technology to original equipment manufacturers."

"We are delighted to receive this prestigious award from Frost & Sullivan and for the recognition of our leadership position in the access control market," stated Robert L. Williams president and CEO of Bioscrypt. "We are hopeful that we will be further recognized as we continue to enhance our existing product and explore new ways to advance the commercial adoption of biometrics."
