SECO-LARM Introduces Under-Desk Door Release Switch for Discreet Access Control

The ENFORCER SS-079C-MK2 under-desk door release switch from SECO-LARM is designed to provide discreet control of secured doors from beneath a desk or counter.
SECO-LARM has announced the launch of the ENFORCER SS-079C-MK2 Under-Desk Door Release Switch, a device designed to provide personnel with a discreet way to release secured doors or trigger an alert from beneath a desk or counter.
The company said the switch is intended to help staff manage door releases without interrupting their workflow or drawing attention. Designed for access control applications, the device allows users to unlock secured doors with a concealed button press while remaining out of sight.
The SS-079C-MK2 features a large rectangular green button that can be easily located and activated from beneath a desk or counter, even without visual confirmation. The unit can be configured for either normally open (N.O.) or normally closed (N.C.) operation, allowing it to integrate with a variety of door release and access control systems.
According to SECO-LARM, the switch uses a premium reed switch with deactivated rhodium on gold underplating to support long-term reliability and consistent performance. The design also incorporates dedicated wiring notches and base holes that enable concealed cabling for a more discreet installation.
The device combines a high-impact ABS housing with a stainless-steel cover for durability and is rated for operation in temperatures ranging from -15°F to 160°F (-25°C to 70°C). The complete kit includes mounting hardware as well as interchangeable green and red buttons.
Technical specifications include an SPDT NO/NC/COM switch type, a switch rating of 0.2A at 12VDC, momentary operation and screw terminal connectors. The unit supports operating humidity levels from 0% to 95% non-condensing.
SECO-LARM said the SS-079C-MK2 reflects its commitment to customer-focused access control solutions, providing staff with a discreet method of controlling access from beneath a desk without escalating a situation or attracting attention.
