Axis Communications has introduced the AXIS TP3604-E Cellular Back Box, a solution designed to connect compatible Axis cameras to existing private cellular networks (PCNs) without the need for traditional cabling.

Designed for AXIS P32 and AXIS P14 cameras, the cellular back box provides reliable uplink performance, high bandwidth and low latency. The solution is intended to offer image quality and performance comparable to fiber while supporting bandwidth optimization through Axis devices with Zipstream and AV1 codec support.

The AXIS TP3604-E uses an encrypted SIM to help provide secure connectivity. Axis Communications also designed the solution for easy installation and configuration, providing a flexible alternative to fiber for extending network video deployments.

The cellular connection allows compatible cameras to connect to existing private cellular networks while eliminating the need for traditional cabling.
