NHP-P400 IP Controller from Hanwha

Integration into Hanwha’s OnCAFE access control software enables cloud-based solution.

Hanwha Vision America’s NHP-P400 adds a 4-door, cloud-connected, highly interoperable, security-hardened access control option with deep integration into Hanwha’s OnCAFE access control software and its broader video surveillance ecosystem.

The OnCAFE platform and controllers like the NHP-P400 are designed to work together as a total cloud-based access control solution. This combination helps customers replace fragmented, server-dependent physical security systems with a more scalable platform, unifying physical security, access and credential management, alarm monitoring, and video surveillance. The NHP-P400, along with the other NHP series controllers, perfectly illustrate the OnCAFE platform’s flexibility, as new access points can be added by modularly connecting additional controllers, much like adding IP cameras to a surveillance system.

The NHP-P400 lets integrators configure access control hardware to scale and streamline their inventory. The controller gives them the flexibility to tailor projects involving access control to a customer’s individual requirements, without having to use multiple platforms to fit a specific job.

The 4-door edge IP access control controller supports the convenience of direct-to-cloud management while giving users multi-site visibility. Users also benefit from license-free, subscription-free local security with the EntryGuard stand-alone mode. The controller is driven by PoE++ power input capabilities with onboard user and event logging, even if connectivity is lost. Additional flexible power options include PoE+, 12VDC, and 24VDC, with intelligent onboard power monitoring and memory retention capabilities to prevent data loss during power fluctuations. The NHP-P400, when paired with OnCAFE, supports up to 250,000 cardholders and a 250,000 offline event cache, ensuring comprehensive audit trail retention even during network disruptions.

The controller includes 10 supervised inputs and hardware scaling options alongside the 1-door (NHP-P100) and 2-door (NHP-P200) models in the NHP series family.  The controller combines robust hardware capabilities with advanced enterprise-grade security features, making it ideal for enterprise environments requiring reliable and highly configurable access management.

The NHP-P400 features TLS 1.3 and AES-256 data encryption for secure communications, along with TPM with FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certification for enhanced data protection.

Its versatile reader port supports both Wiegand and OSDP v2.2.2 protocols, accommodating up to two OSDP readers per port for maximum flexibility in reader deployment.

Rugged aluminum construction with IK10 impact resistance rating supports reliable operation in demanding environments, while a wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F) makes it suitable for any type of indoor and outdoor installations.

Hanwha Vision America’s OnCAFE platform, when combined with NHP series door controllers, simplifies access control for facilities of any size, reducing the time and cost associated with system setup, device management, and user administration. OnCAFE eliminates the need for expensive on-site servers and complex IT infrastructure. Its intuitive mobile and web interfaces allow administrators to securely manage credentials, access rights, and monitor door activity remotely.
