Cansec Systems Ltd. has launched Zodiac Mobile Access, a cardless access control platform that enables authorized users to access doors using a smartphone.

The platform combines the Zodiac Connect app with Cansec’s ETMobile™ and BIOMobile™ readers to provide one credential experience for standard access applications and openings requiring biometric verification.

ETMobile™ uses secure mobile credentials for standard security areas, while BIOMobile™ adds fingerprint verification for higher-security locations. Fingerprint templates are encrypted and stored only on the user’s phone and are not stored in the reader or the cloud, eliminating the need for a centralized biometric server.

Administrators can securely issue mobile credentials via email and remotely activate or deactivate credentials when access is no longer required. Credentials can also be transferred or reassigned.

Cansec’s Forever Credentials are available as a one-time purchase with no ongoing monthly or yearly fees. The Zodiac platform also works with virtually any access control system that supports Wiegand output readers.
