Identix Inc., a maker of fingerprint verification products, said Wednesday that it received orders for its full hand and fingerprint scanning systems from two related, unnamed local law enforcement agencies.
The orders have a total value of more than $650,000, and include multiple units from the company's TouchPrint 3000 live scan models. The orders are expected to ship and be installed over the course of the company's fiscal year ending June 30.
"Law enforcement agencies across the country are expressing a pent up need to upgrade and expand their existing live scan networks,'' said president and chief executive Joseph J. Atick in a statement. "More importantly, many of these agencies are obtaining funding to assist in their procurement of live scan products and services.''
In the past three weeks, the company said it received orders including a $750,000 federal agency contract for its hand-print scanning systems, and an order from the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association for full-hand scan systems worth more than $550,000.
The company posted $55.2 million in revenue for fiscal 2004.
