Nine new installers signed in the last 12 months following boom in biometrics

TSSI, the document and personnel identity specialist, today announced that it is continuing to recruit installers following strong growth.

TSSI is building a UK-wide network of certified installers and currently enjoys close working relationships with approximately 15 organizations nationwide. It has signed up nine UK installers in the last 12 months following a two-fold demand for biometric entry systems during the same period.

Installers must complete training and certification program in order to become a TSSI certified partner. Installers that have recently joined TSSI’s program include Biometric Entry Systems, CTS Group, Infralink, Vistec Systems, and White Electrical Services.

By identifying a fingerprint unique to an individual, biometric access control technology prevents the entry of people into a building where they have not been granted secure entry.

"The biometric market has shown strong growth for TSSI in recent years. Customers recognize that relying on utilizing personal identity is a pragmatic solution to access control," said TSSI CEO Stewart Hefferman.

Gerry Shields, CEO of TSSI installer, Biometric Entry Systems said: "TSSI is a long established biometric security pioneer and our customers feel safe knowing that its systems are in place. TSSI also share a similar business ethic to ourselves which helps us to work together to meet today’s evolving biometric security needs."

Biometric Entry Systems will install and provide technical services for TSSI’s Verid+ range of fingerprint solutions.

TSSI develops, manufactures and markets a range of fingerprint readers and OEM solutions for biometric security. Its Verid+ range of fingerprint readers combined with a suite of software options, provides installers with the core components for a cost-effective and reliable biometric entry system.
