Precise Biometrics AB (publ), which develops and sells world leading and user-friendly biometric security solutions based on fingerprints, have received an order worth about SEK 1.6m from a European systems integrator for a government smart ID card project.

The order includes the development and delivery of a new version of Precise Biometrics' combined fingerprint and smart card reader, to be used in combination with a smart ID card for fingerprint authentication. "We are proud to be a part of such smart ID card programs with biometrics in Europe. The order is once again a proof of the strong market acceptance that the Precise Match-on-Card technology and our products enjoys. The uses of smart identification credentials are proving to be a vital link in the chain of trust for both commercial organizations and government agencies", said Christer Bergman, CEO of Precise Biometrics.
